Effective immediately, DBPR is no longer offering online-proctored exams.  The exams are only offered at Pearson Vue testing centers.  According to the email from the DBPR, this is “in the interest of maintaining the integrity of examinations for DBPR-issued professional licenses.”

The online-proctored exams began during the statewide shutdown in 2020.  Once the shutdown ended, they kept offering online-proctored exams as a convenience to people.  I think the online-proctored exams were particularly nice for people in more rural areas who had to drive several hours to a test center.  In Orlando, we have several Pearson Vue test centers, so it’s pretty easy to schedule an exam.

If you plan to take your exam soon, I would recommend that you get it on the schedule.  Before the pandemic, people often had to schedule their exam several weeks out.  With the addition of online testing, scheduling became less of an issue.  Today, I expect that it won’t be long before you have to schedule several weeks in advance.

I always recommend that you take a state exam cram review class before you take the state exam.  I suggest you take the exam Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and take the state exam on Monday.

Please note that neither Karen Climer nor Ron Climer teach at Climer School of Real Estate or Gold Coast Schools.  Climer School of Real Estate was sold by Ron Climer in 2014.  It has since been sold a few times and is now owned by Colibri.  We are both teaching for Demetree School of Real Estate in Orlando, Florida.
