I was going through some old stuff this past weekend, and I found an old classified ad for Demetree School of Real Estate. It’s from the July 13, 1987 Orlando Sentinel. I was just a elementary school kid at that time, but I remember exactly what the school looked like.

Difficult material simplified. It was true in 1987 when this ad ran. It’s true today. (But the phone number in the ad is no longer accurate!)
It’s fun to see old things like this because you see what’s changed and what hasn’t. I can’t imagine a business using the classified ads to market today, but that what all schools did in the 1980s.
It’s also fun to see these old things because you realize how much things don’t change. The ad says, “Difficult material simplified.” That’s as true today as it was in the 1980s.
The material on the state exam is difficult. At Demetree School of Real Estate, we simplify it.
